A man has stabbed seven people in the Swedish city of Vetlanda. Five of the injured are in critical condition. Police are looking at Wednesday’s incident as a possible terrorist attack.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a crowd of 13,000 in the city. The attacker was shot by police. He was admitted to the hospital with leg injuries. From there he was taken into police custody.
Police say the 20-22-year-old man attacked with a sharp weapon.
However, local media reported that he used a knife. Police initially said it was an attempted murder. But later added, it was a potential terrorist attack. However, the police did not give any details about the incident.
Three of the injured are in critical condition. The condition of two others is serious. Janakoping Hospital reported the information. The injured are being treated at the hospital.
